Refactor the imx rt code/data location config defaults such that we
default to on-chip memories at the soc level and override to external
memories at the board level. This means that we frequently override soc
defaults for evk boards, but it removes the assumption that all imx rt
boards (particularly non-evk boards) will have the same external
memories as evk boards.
The end result is that imx rt evk boards still have the same defaults as
before, but the way we get there is different.

Use the state machine states to determine if the session has ended.
This way zperf will properly reply stat packet to remote client even if
duration of the session is non zero.
Also we don't need to update counter (received packet number) at end of
the session.
Note: if id < 0, it means session end, otherwise it's session ongoing.
(id is the first feild of application data from remote client).

we need to introduce the same support into sockets based echo-client
and echo-server applications.

Enable pull-up on UART RX pin to reduce power consumption.
If the board is powered by battery and the debugger is
not connected via USB to the host, the SoC consumes up
to 2mA more than expected.
The consumption increases because RX pin is floating
(High-Impedance state of pin B from Dual-Supply Bus Transceiver).

Updated I2S sample app for Intel S1000 CRB to loopback
the audio from host in addition to playing audio out to codec
When AUDIO_PLAY_FROM_HOST=Y, audio from host is both looped back
and played out to codec
When AUDIO_PLAY_FROM_HOST=N, audio from host is looped back and
app generated ones are played out to codec.

Introduce toolchain_cc_optimize_for_* family of macros.
Each macro represents a general optimization class.
Each macro is then responsible for setting an output variable to that
class-of-optimization's flag.
The names of these output variables are decided from the root
CMakeLists.txt.
No functional change expected.
Clang's optimization flags are compatible with gcc, and are thus
inherited.
This is motivated by the wish to abstract Zephyr's usage of toolchains,
permitting easier porting to other (commercial) toolchains.

Sorting os.walk() in scripts/subfolder_list.py removes the randomness in
the following files:
build/zephyr/misc/generated/syscalls_subdirs.txt
build/zephyr/CMakeFiles/syscall_list_h_target.dir/ or build.ninja
Sorting os.walk() in scripts/parse_syscalls.py removes the randomness
in:
build/zephyr/misc/generated/syscalls.json
build/zephyr/include/generated/syscall_dispatch.c
build/zephyr/include/generated/syscall_list.h
Note my (limited so far) testing did *not* observe any randomness in any
object file that this would address; the main purpose here is to remove
a very large amount of noise in diffoscope.

Since malloc takes a size_t, we should use 0x7fffffff as the max size
(ie what the larget unsigned int) would normall be. Newer newlib's have
a check that will fail building since 0xf0000000 exceeds the size.

consumption of the advertising thread has gone slightly up. In some
case it was seen to overflow by some 48 bytes. Let it always be 786,
like it was so far with CONFIG_BT_HOST_CRYPTO.

Fix some usability issues with this command.
- add help making it clear that either imgtool must be installed, or
the path to imgtool.py must be provided using --tool-path.
- in case people don't read that, print a helpful message if imgtool
is not installed and --tool-path is not provided.
- in case the build directory is not properly set up for an MCUboot
chain-loaded image, make the BuildConfiguration inspection more
robust, printing out errors using check_force() when values are
missing.
- mark the --tool option required to print usage and avoid a
RuntimeError if it is not provided.
- make sure we search for the default build directory before checking
for its existence, in case it was not provided
