Andy Ross 71ca65306c mempool: Fix bit pointer state for N_MAX > 31
When a mempool is created with a large number of maximum-size blocks,
the logic for initializing max_inline_level (i.e. when to union the
bitmask with the pointer and when to use the pointer directly) was
wrong.  The default state was "zero", which implies that level 0
should be inlined, but that's wrong with >32 base blocks.
Additionally, the type was unsigned, making the "level zero is a
pointer" situation impossible to represent.

Aurelien Jarno d47fada3a4 subsys: fs/nvs: fix writes when write_block_size != 1
The current code computes the block-aligned len by ANDing the len with
~write_block_size instead of ~(write_block_size - 1).

In addition the compute value can be 0 (for lengths that are less than
the block size), so the first flash write might have to be skipped.

Vinayak Kariappa Chettimada 94d7669cf3 Bluetooth: controller: Fix assert on different transaction collision
Updated the implementation of Connection Update Procedure to
not assert when peer master violates the Bluetooth
Specification v5.0 Vol.6 Part B Section 5.3 Procedure
Collisions. Instead disconnect the link with reason
Different Transaction Collision (0x2A).

Certain phones in the market perform Connection Update
Procedure and do not correctly handle remote initiated
colliding PHY update procedures. They try to perform both
the transactions involving an instant simultaneously
violating the Bluetooth Specifications.

Implementation in Zephyr is updated to gracefully handle
the violating remote master device, and not fatally assert
in the local device.

Relates to commit 8b3fd6963c ("Bluetooth: controller: Fix
assert on different transaction collision")

Michael Scott 7983606327 drivers: gpio: sx1509b: Kconfig options depend on GPIO_SX1509B
When CONFIG_GPIO_SX1509B was not set, the related Kconfig options
were still showing up in .config.  Let's make them depend on
GPIO_SX1509B so they can go away when not being used.

Anas Nashif 1d4e089498 qemu: support alternate path of qemu binaries
Support using an alternate QEMU path for when we want to use a qemu
version not available in the SDK.

To use the alternate qemu version, export QEMU_BIN_PATH and point it
to the bin directory which contains the qemu executables.

For example:

export QEMU_BIN_PATH=/usr/local/bin

Gil Pitney a4cc88ad30 samples: net: sockets: echo-client: fix sock fd test, allow zero.
Per: http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/009695399/functions/socket.html
"Upon successful completion, socket() shall return a non-negative
integer, the socket file descriptor."

The test in prepare_fds() however fails if socket fd is
zero (non-negative), which should be a valid value.

This was found while testing the SimpleLink socket offload driver,
which can return a zero-valued socket fd, per the POSIX spec.

Ulf Magnusson d67095ba59 Kconfiglib: Make header symbol order match .config files again
Commit f6bf897780 ("kconfiglib: Add preprocessor and two warnings")
accidentally made the ordering of #define's in generated header files
random (dependent on Python's set() implementation). Minimal
configuration files (which can be saved from the menuconfig) were
affected too.

The intent is for the order to match .config files, which in turn match
symbol definition order. This doesn't affect behavior in any way, but
makes things more readable (and is handier if files are checked in).

Update Kconfiglib to upstream revision a3252f620fad9 to make the
ordering match again. Tests have been added upstream.

Piotr Mienkowski f69199777f soc: efr32fg1p: correct clock initialization sequence
This patch changes clock initialization sequence to initialize external
cristal oscillators only if it was not done before. Initialization of
external cristal oscillators may be performed by the bootloader.

Tested on BRD4250B evaluation board.

Ramakrishna Pallala 2ad647857c subsys: power: Add OS managed Power Management framework
Add support for OS managed Power Management framework for Zephyr
under 'subsys/power'. This framework takes care of implementing
the _sys_soc_suspend/_sys_soc_resume API's, a PM policy based on
SoC Low Power residencies and also provides necessary API's to
do devices suspend and resume.

Also add necessary changes to support the existing Application
managed Power Management framework.

Michael Hennerich 84c352d0f3 samples: sensor: adxl372: Add ADXL372 sample application
This sample application produces slightly different outputs based on
the chosen driver configuration mode. In Measuring Mode with trigger
support, the acceleration on all three axis is printed in m/s^2 at
the sampling rate (ODR). In polled Measuring Mode the instantaneous
acceleration is polled every 2 seconds. In most high-g applications,
a single (3-axis) acceleration sample at the peak of an impact event
contains sufficient information about the event, and the full
acceleration history is not required.
In this Max Peak Detect Mode the device returns only the over
threshold peak acceleration between two consecutive sample fetches or
trigger events. Instead of printing the acceleration on all three axis,
the sample application calculates the vector magnitude
(root sum squared) and displays the result in g rather than in m/s^2,
together with an bar graph.
