fe24cac70b Bluetooth: Mesh: Clarify log to run out of retransmission attempt
The logs for retransmission attempts for sending segments and ack
retransmission attempts for receiving segments were the same, making it
difficult to distinguish between them. This can be solved by adding
information to the log of ack retransmission.

3e9197a58a Bluetooth: Mesh: Rename mesh test primitives
Since testing.c/h was moved to mesh, all functions and
structs in those files now follow a bt_mesh_test_*
naming scheme to be consistent with the naming in Zephyr.

Due to missing includes in many files, this commit also
added some that were missing in order to build since
the order of includes have changed.

f1b182b585 Bluetooth: Mesh: Move testing.h to mesh subsys instead of include
The file is only ever used by mesh and it is even stated in the
header of the file that it is internal APIs.

The include file has been merged with the host testing.h file
as that was mesh specific as well. Similarly the testing.c
file was also moved

This is part of a process to clean up the file structure of
Bluetooth as it's a bit messy, which is evident from the
MAINTAINERS.yml file.

Commit prevents updating replay protection list on any frame came
from the network layer.

Replay protection cache is updated only if
    - transport handles transport command without errors
    - access layer handles model message without errors
    - transport frame has correct length

- Change "Profile" to "Protocol" since the main specification has
changed its name.
- Update/align formating of specification references. This will
make it easier to find spec references in the future.

newest version of the specification (v1.1).

8c748fd005 kernel: Modify the signature of k_mem_slab_free()
Modify the signature of the k_mem_slab_free() function with a new one,
replacing the old void **mem with void *mem as a parameter.

The following function:
void k_mem_slab_free(struct k_mem_slab *slab, void **mem);

has the wrong signature. mem is only used as a regular pointer, so there
is no need to use a double-pointer. The correct signature should be:
void k_mem_slab_free(struct k_mem_slab *slab, void *mem);

The issue with the current signature, although functional, is that it is
extremely confusing. I myself, a veteran Zephyr developer, was confused
by this parameter when looking at it recently.

All in-tree uses of the function have been adapted.

Fixes #61888.

878d15cf94 Bluetooth: Mesh: Align handling of seg_ack to spec
Updates the handling of incoming seg ack messages to comply with
the mesh protocol specification, section 3.5.3.3.2 and section
3.5.3.3.3.

Previous implementation did not restart the retransmission timer unless
the incoming ack contained at least one segment newly marked as
acknowledged. According to the spec, the timer should be restated
regardless. The implementation depends on the retransmission
timer to end the transmission early if there was no more retransmission
attempts. Checks have been added to ensure that this now happens
immediately.

This commit adds the following features related to virtual addresses
support:
- Allows to store Label UUIDs which virtual addresses collide;
- Allows to decrypt messages encrypted with a virtual address with
collision;
- Allows to publish a message to a specific Label UUID to avoid virtual
addresses collision by adding a pointer to Label UUID to
struct bt_mesh_msg_ctx and struct bt_mesh_model_pub;
- Allows to differentiate Label UUIDs in the model's Subscription List
by storing all subscribed UUIDs in struct bt_mesh_model.uuids field.

1956b06ecc Bluetooth: Mesh: Don't poll friend when sending over loopback
When LPN sends a segmented message to itself, it unnecesseraly polls
Friend. Since Friend doesn't receive this message, the segmented message
transmission will eventually fail (send end callback will return error),
while the message will actually be passed to the access layer.

29895d8275 Bluetooth: Mesh: refactor mesh to use both tinycrypt and psa based crypto
A mesh key type has been added to be able to choose the different
key representation for different security libraries.
The type as well as some functionality related to Mesh key
management has been added as a public API.
If tynicrypt is chosen then keys have representation
as 16 bytes array. If mbedTLS with PSA is used then keys are
the PSA key id. Raw value is not kept within BLE Mesh stack
for mbedTLS. Keys are imported into the security library
and key ids are gotten back. This refactoring has been done
for the network(including all derivated keys), application,
device, and session keys.

dd59a45c65 Bluetooth: Mesh: Transport SAR Configuration
Add support for:
- SAR Configuration Client and Server models
- Transport SAR configuration states
- Using SAR Transmitter/Receiver states in segmentation
and reassembly process.

Bsim tests fixes:
- Fix failing replay attack test. The replay attack test doesn't
consider retransmission attempts at the transport layer. When
retransmission happens, SeqNums get increased and the test logic
doesn't work anymore. The simplest fix would be to disable
retransmissions at the transport layer.
- Add device synchronization API to synchronize transport va test.
Device configuration may take different time on transmitter and
receiver. Add synchronisation barrier between devices.
- Fix msg_frnd test. Timing in transport sar behavior has been
changed, which affected test_friend_msg test. Now acknowledgments
are sent much faster and this needs to be considered in the test.
- Fix unicast_low_lat test. Increase number of retransmission
attempts when long segmented message is sent.
- Reduce timeout in kr_old_key test.
- Relax SAR RX state configuration in DFU and BLOB tests.

3.6.4.3 Message error procedure
When the Upper Transport layer receives a message that is not
understood, then the message shall be ignored.
A message that is not understood includes messages that met one or more
conditions listed below:
• The Transport Control message opcode is unknown by the receiving node.
• The Transport Control message size for the Transport Control opcode
is incorrect.
• The Transport Control message parameters contain values that are
Prohibited

e458f5aae6 Bluetooth: Use Zephyr standard log system instead of bluetooth/common/log
The `bluetooth/common/log.h` and `bluetooth/common/log.c` files have been
removed. Files that were using them have been updated to use
`zephyr/logging/log.h` instead.

Those replacement have been done consequently:
- `/BT_DBG/LOG_DBG/`
- `/BT_ERR/LOG_ERR/`
- `/BT_WARN/LOG_WRN/`
- `/BT_INFO/LOG_INF/`
- `/BT_HEXDUMP_DBG/LOG_HEXDUMP_DBG/`
- `/BT_DBG_OBJ_ID/LOG_DBG_OBJ_ID/`

Also, some files were relying on the `common/log.h` include to include
`zephyr/bluetooth/hci.h`, in those cases the include of `hci.h` has
been added.

For files that were including `common/log.h` but not using any logs,
the include has been removed and not replaced.

79e6b0e0f6 includes: prefer <zephyr/kernel.h> over <zephyr/zephyr.h>
As of today <zephyr/zephyr.h> is 100% equivalent to <zephyr/kernel.h>.
This patch proposes to then include <zephyr/kernel.h> instead of
<zephyr/zephyr.h> since it is more clear that you are including the
Kernel APIs and (probably) nothing else. <zephyr/zephyr.h> sounds like a
catch-all header that may be confusing. Most applications need to
include a bunch of other things to compile, e.g. driver headers or
subsystem headers like BT, logging, etc.

The idea of a catch-all header in Zephyr is probably not feasible
anyway. Reason is that Zephyr is not a library, like it could be for
example `libpython`. Zephyr provides many utilities nowadays: a kernel,
drivers, subsystems, etc and things will likely grow. A catch-all header
would be massive, difficult to keep up-to-date. It is also likely that
an application will only build a small subset. Note that subsystem-level
headers may use a catch-all approach to make things easier, though.

NOTE: This patch is **NOT** removing the header, just removing its usage
in-tree. I'd advocate for its deprecation (add a #warning on it), but I
understand many people will have concerns.

Additional uncontrolled delay for transmitting segack affects throughput
of the segmented messages. Though the best throughput can be achieved
with the smallest allowed values, move them to Kconfig option so that
the segack delay can be controlled by a user.

867b88635d Bluetooth: Mesh: Don't do bulk tx of seg msgs
In the current implementation of segmented messages transmission, the
transport layer will put as many segments as it can into the advertiser
buffer. If a long segmented message is transmitted, there is a chance
that an ack will be received before the transport layer finishes sending
the first batch of segments. This will trigger retransmissions of those
segments that are marked as missing in the ack, that are also the
segments that are scheduled (or about to be scheduled), but not sent
out by the advertiser yet. Thus, the receiver may receive already
received segments.

This commit changes 2 things:
- it prevents rescheduling transmission of missing segments upon
reception of ack. Thus, ack doesn't cause segments duplication in the
advertiser buffer;
- it doesn't put all segments to the advertiser buffer. Thus, ack that
acknowledges all segments can immediately stop rescheduling segments as
they are already received;

731241f8d0 kernel: workq: Fix type errors in delayable work handlers
A common pattern here was to take the work item as the subfield of a
containing object. But the contained field is not a k_work, it's a
k_work_delayable.

Things were working only because the work field was first, so the
pointers had the same value. Do things right and fix things to
produce correct code if/when that field ever moves within delayable.

The Transport layer would previously rely on the access layer to check
whether there's room for the full message and a MIC in the available
buffer space, and its own checks would ignore the MIC. This should be
handled by the Transport layer checks, so the access layer doesn't have

4fbd0cb0ca Bluetooth: Mesh: Perform replay check on SeqAuth
To prevent the transport layer from accepting duplicate or out of order
segmented messages, add an RPL-like check for the SeqAuth of the
segmented messages when their context is allocated. This prevents
duplicate receives of the same segmented messages in the case where a
single source address sends two segmented messages in parallel (to two
different addresses):

Previously, when receiving two segmented messages, the first message
would go through to the access layer, then the second. Then, if the
transport layer received any repeated segments for the first message, it
would fail to identify the SeqAuth as old, as all its segments were of
new sequence numbers, and the "already complete SDU" check would only
look at the second message. Thus, the segmented message got processed
again and passed to the access layer, even though it was a duplicate.

To solve this, we need a mechanism like RPL, but only for the segmented
messages' SeqAuth. We cannot re-use the actual RPL mechanism, as it
can't support the scenario provoked by the "blocking tx" mechanism in
transport. This mechanism allocates the SeqAuth when the message is
first passed to the transport layer. The ongoing message that caused the
block would keep sending segments with higher sequence numbers than
the blocked message got, which will cause the blocked message to fail
the RPL check.

This patch adds a parallel SeqAuth mechanism to the RPL module, which
only deals with the SeqAuth of the segmented messages. This list gets
checked when the segmented message is first allocated, in the same
manner as the general RPL mechanism. The storage gets hooked into the
RPL mechanism, by adding a separate seg field to each RPL entry.

561a8e4f0e Bluetooth: Mesh: Break up mesh settings
The mesh settings.c module is a giant piece of code responsible for
storing the mesh stack configuration. Such approach makes it difficult
to control the data to be stored, breaks the stack modules'
encapsulation by forcing them to reveal the internal kitchen, which
leads to unpleasant issues such as #19799.

This commit moves the responsibility of storing the configuration
to corresponding modules while keeping control of the moment of storing
the configuration and of starting the stack after the settingss loading
is completed.

This doesn't introduce any abstraction between the mesh settings.c and
other modules as it will add more complexity and overhead than necessary
for the actual task.

Adds check for TTL max in the transport send functions, and moves
setting of default TTL to transport.

Fixes #29855.

0dc9e5cd96 Bluetooth: Mesh: Move heartbeat to separate module
Encapsulates the Heartbeat state and functionality in a separate
heartbeat module, removing all manipulation of the heartbeat state from
the transport and config server modules.

2fb56ba74d Bluetooth: Mesh: Account for ASZMIC in encrypt
The decision to set aszmic = 1 in the net_tx structure was made after
the variable was passed to the crypto context, creating a discrepancy
between the two when aszmic is 1.

Extracts transport encryption to a separate function.
