The slim ring buffer API is now header-only and always available and the
tree has already migrated from the _claim/_finish API, so the RING_BUFFER
symbol no longer gates any code.
Remove the now-redundant "select RING_BUFFER" and CONFIG_RING_BUFFER=y
entries across drivers, subsystems, samples and tests.

The other Wi-Fi drivers now derive the interface status band from the
channel rather than reporting a constant. This one cannot: the part is
2.4 GHz only and the driver reports channel 0, so deriving the band
would replace a correct answer with an unknown one.

Vendor and out-of-scope identifiers keep their names: STM32
LL_SPI_MODE_SLAVE in the ec_host_cmd backend, the ATWINC1500 SDK I2C

Remove the redundant includes across arch, boards, drivers, kernel,

The eswifi socket offload driver's setsockopt() handler returns success (0)
for TLS_HOSTNAME and TLS_PEER_VERIFY options without implementing them.
This causes applications to believe TLS hostname and peer certificate
verification is enabled when it may not be, potentially enabling
man-in-the-middle attacks.
The Inventek eS-WiFi module's default P9 setting (0=None) means no
certificate verification occurs unless explicitly configured out-of-band.
Return -ENOTSUP instead, making the limitation explicit so applications
can detect and handle unsupported TLS options appropriately.

TLS_CREDENTIAL_SERVER_CERTIFICATE credential type is misleading, as in
fact it just represents a public certificate, it does not matter if the
certificate belongs to a server or a client. And actually, it was
already used in-tree for clients as well, for example in LwM2M.
Therefore rename the credential type to a more generic
TLS_CREDENTIAL_PUBLIC_CERTIFICATE and deprecate the old one.

Mostly a revert of commit b1def7145f ("arch: deprecate `_current`").
This commit was part of PR #80716 whose initial purpose was about providing
an architecture specific optimization for _current. The actual deprecation
was sneaked in later on without proper discussion.
The Zephyr core always used _current before and that was fine. It is quite
prevalent as well and the alternative is proving rather verbose.
Furthermore, as a concept, the "current thread" is not something that is
necessarily architecture specific. Therefore the primary abstraction
should not carry the arch_ prefix.
Hence this revert.

The eswifi driver uses an integer to identify the socket used for each
connection, which must be cast to and from a `void *`. This causes
warnings on 64 bit platforms, as precision is lost when casting from a
`void *` to `int`. Use a `intptr_t` type to store the socket value to
resolve this warning. Also, fix a function signature for the `accept_cb`
to use `size_t` instead of `int` for the length

When receiving data over the eswifi module, we currently read the data
first, then allocate a buffer, and finally write the data into the
buffer. The issue is that if we can't allocate the buffer, the data
that was read is lost. To fix this, we should first attempt to allocate
the buffer before reading any data. If we can't allocate the buffer, we
should not proceed with reading the data. By allocating a buffer with
the MTU size, we can read the packet, write it into the allocated buffer
and then resize by removing unused allocated buffer with
net_pkt_trim_buffer().

For each of the fdtable.h functions listed below, convert the
z_ prefixed semi-private functions to use the zvfs_ prefix.
ZVFS stands for Zephyr Virtual File System and
is intended to be a common library used by the C library,
POSIX API, Networking, Filesystem, and other areas.
There are already a few functions in fdtable.h that use the
zvfs_ prefix, so this change is mostly about unifying them in
a way that uses a suitable prefix ("namespace") so that it can
be considered a public API.
